Monthly Meditations are held at each full moon before or during the exact time of the full moon. The full moon period facilitates contact with new insights and new ideas giving all a chance to constructively embody the special energies available at this time.
It is almost as if a door suddenly opened wide, which at other times stands closed. Through the door or opening, energies can be contacted which are otherwise shut off; and through the door, approaches can be made which at other times are not possible. ~ A. A. Bailey
At the time of the full moon, the sun, moon and earth are in complete alignment - in other words, the light of the sun is reflected to earth by the whole face of the moon, and maximum light is reaching us from our Source of Life "from Whom all things proceed, to Whom all things return" in the words of the Indian prayer The Gayatri. It is a time therefore of increased magnetic potency; the ethers are charged with a more potent vibration than at other times, and it is upon this fact that, since time immemorial, religious rites and ceremonies of all kinds have been held during the full moon.
Unlike the time of sunrise, the actual moment when the moon is full [is the same] the world over. Meditation at the time is therefore synchronous in all parts of the earth; a moment of simultaneous and unanimous spiritual approach takes place, when those participating are linked both horizontally across the globe with fellow meditators and vertically with those in the Inner Kingdom. The potentiality of this is easily understood.
The most significant and far-reaching value of observing these planetary cycles in our meditation is the service that it renders. Since it is joined in by people all over the world, it is a true group endeavor, with the consequent power within it of countless hearts and minds; worldwide appeal to the Higher Powers is made and a worldwide inflow is thereby possible, for under the law of demand and supply, invocation must call forth response, even though we may not see its effect tangibly. The need for such appeal as we struggle on a global basis as we enter the Aquarian Age, needs no emphasis.

Full Moon Meditation Practice
It is suggested that meditation practice during the full moon cover 5 days: 2 days before, the day of (12 hours before and 12 hours after the exact time) and 2 days after. The first two can be used as a readying or preparation, the day of as a time of inner stillness and silent reception, and the final two days for the service of radiation and expression of the energies received for the good of humanity.
For those who are particularly sensitive to the energies of the full moon, a word of caution. It is possible to be over-stimulated at this time. If this is your experience, simply moderate your meditation during the 5 days such that a comfort level is achieved, keeping in mind that different full moon cycles have different potencies.
