Michael Lindfield - President, has been involved in creative group meditation since the late 1960s through an affiliation with Sundial House in England (a sister group of Meditation Mount). He is a highly regarded business consultant and executive coach with over 35 years of international experience in helping individuals and organizations unleash the creativity of the human spirit to meet the needs of our times. Michael learned his craft from a broad range of experiences that include: a 14 year residency as Director of Education at the Findhorn Community in Scotland; small-scale organic farming in western Sweden; conducting seminars and presenting at conferences around the world and as a senior consultant with The Boeing Company from 1989-2005. Michael is author of ‘The Dance of Change: an Eco-Spiritual Approach to Transformation’ (Penguin Books 1986) and numerous articles featured in psychology, education and business journals.
Rosa Maria (Rosy) Romero - Vice-President & Treasurer, is a businesswoman who has long been engaged in meditation and service work. Originally from Guadalajara, Rosy moved to Northwest Mexico in 1980 and it was there that an inner prompting led her to a study group in creative group meditation -- Sintesis En Acuario (SEA) in Tijuana. The group meditated together daily for many years, and held weekly meetings to study the Ageless Wisdom teachings contained within the Alice A. Bailey books. Rosy began attending biannual conferences at Meditation Mount in the early ‘90s, and in 1996 began participating in the annual World Service Intergroup gatherings held in different parts of the world. Rosy is an Insurance Broker and has participated in many conventions in Latin America and Europe--with the Latin American Federation of Insurance Intermediaries and its European equivalent, BIPAR. In 2002, she also joined the worldwide service organization Rotary International, lending her diverse skills to the Rotary’s mission of building goodwill and peace in the world, alleviating human sufferings through combating hunger, improving health, providing education, job training, and more.
Tom Carney has been actively engaged in meditation and service-oriented work for over 42 years. For all of those years, he has been closely affiliated with Arcana Workshops a non-profit corporation dedicated to the pioneering of group work and the service of humanity. While at Arcana he designed and conducted weekly group workshops in both group and intergroup relations and scientific meditation training at all levels of experience. He has been the President of the Board of Arcana for 25 years. He has written articles and essays on many topics of an esoteric bridging nature most of which have appeared in a monthly esoteric journal Thoughtline published by Arcana Workshops. His work has been translated into many languages, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Danish, Polish and Russian. Tom is and has been affiliated with Meditation Groups Inc. for over 18 years. He has served the Mount as Treasurer, Vice President and President of the Board. Tom is also affiliated with and a founding member of The World Service Intergroup which is perhaps the largest intergroup of esoteric groups in the world. He serves as a member of this group’s Steering Committee.
Jo Ann Gaines - Corporate Secretary, brings a lifelong commitment to service and creative collaboration and many years of leadership experience with both non-profit and for-profit organizations. While a student at Rutgers, meditation on math problems registered surprising results, and Jo Ann soon became a proponent of creative group meditation as a powerful force for good in the world. She has worked ever since with a number of meditation groups and inter-groups. Jo Ann worked for two decades with corporations in the N.Y. City, D.C. and L.A. areas, many of those years with Xerox (Printing Systems). She held strategic management positions at the national level in systems support, technical education, product planning and as Program Manager for the 9700--the electronic printing system that ignited the laser printer industry. In the 1990s she co-founded and administered a community-based Contemporary Museum of Art touted in the South Bay and greater L.A. area for its focus on ideas and issues of community and global significance. In recent years she actively collaborates and volunteers, including in leadership roles, with several groups and non-profits working toward a culture of peace.
Roger Collis is board member in-residence at Meditation Mount in Ojai, CA where he lives with his wife, Katherine, who oversees the Mount's educational programs. He has held senior leadership positions in government, international business and the non-profit sector. Roger currently is executive director of the World Business Academy and President/CEO of Omega Point Institute. He serves as a Trustee of the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland. In 1975 along with others who had lived at Findhorn, he co-founded the Lorian Association to research and explore the application of spirituality in everyday life with its full expression in all aspects of human endeavor. That interest and work continues today in his teaching and consulting activities.
Diana Lang has been teaching meditation in Los Angeles since 1980 and is the author of Opening to Meditation, a book and CD set, (New World Library 2004). She conducts classes, retreats and workshops in meditation, yoga, and other related subjects, and brings a fresh perspective to these age-old teachings. Diana is a spiritual counselor that practices soul-aligned therapy and offers a supportive and uplifting environment to take our next spiritual step. She has studied spiritual teachings from around the world and from every tradition, and is able to easily explain abstract ideas in a way that is immediately applicable and easy to understand. Her radio show, In Your Dreams, on KZLA had a listening base of over 100,000 people in the greater Los Angeles area, where she did live dream analysis on this weekly 2-hour broadcast. Diana's extensive knowledge of yoga and her enthusiastic and heart-centered approach to body/mind practices allows for a direct experience of spirituality. She is also a life-long astrologer.
